Owner/winemaker Alan Viader has always had an appetite for adventure and a willingness to help others. Having grown up in the wine business surrounded by his family’s VIADER vineyards on Howell Mountain in the Napa Valley gave Alan the exposure and work experience that fueled his passion for winemaking.

Always the adventure-seeker, Alan takes the opportunity with Intentus to explore new, exciting winegrowing regions from small producers to produce incredibly unique wines with a strong sense-of-place and with pure varietal expression. Being able to support these hardworking farmers and make these incredible limited-edition wines is highly rewarding!

Alan is not only a winemaker, but also a First Responder. Alan is an active volunteer firefighter for Napa County’s Deer Park Fire Station 21 and a member of the Napa County Sheriff's Search & Rescue team. Alan has seen communities completely devastated by natural disasters and wildfires...and it’s heartbreaking. Yet at the same time such trials and experiences have been incredibly inspirational and have encouraged him to step up and act. Alan started Intentus Wines not only to make great wines, but with the intention to give back to other First Responders.

Alan’s key purpose with intentus Wines is to allow for substantial charitable giving to the organizations that support communities in need and to the brave first responders willing to put themselves on the frontlines. We invite you to join us in this mission!
